Wave 1: Beginner Freediving

  • Focus: Foundational skills, safety, breath-hold basics, relaxation, and proper breathing techniques.

  • Skills: Surface swimming, duck dives, basic equalization (Valsalva), static apnea, and dynamic apnea in the pool.

  • Goal: Build confidence and comfort in the water, understanding the human body's response to freediving. 

Wave 2: Advanced Freediving

  • Prerequisites: Wave 1 certification.

  • Focus: Enhancing technique, mental control, and exploring deeper dives with more efficient methods.

  • Skills: Advanced equalization (Frenzel), freefall, dynamic apnea (L2), depth diving (W2) with fins (CWTB) and without (FIM), aiming for longer breath-holds (2-3 mins) and depths past 12m. 

Wave 3: Master Freediving

  • Prerequisites: Wave 2 certification.

  • Focus: Mastering advanced techniques, expanding limits, and preparing for deeper dives and potential assistant instructor roles.

  • Skills: Advanced equalization (mouthfill/reverse packing), FRC (functional residual capacity) dives, packing, advanced flexibility, and complex rescue scenarios, targeting breath-holds over 3.5 minutes and depths around 34 meters.
